I love just being home - hanging around the house doing my thing. Being a working girl, I cherish every minute I have at home, whether cleaning, cooking, sewing, crafts, organizing, re-organizing. I'm always looking for a better, more efficient way to accomplish whatever task is at hand. I love to share my ideas, tips, recipes. I love working in the yard tending to my flowers. I love giving parties - small intimate get-togethers with friends. I always try to come up with a unique party idea to make my guests feel welcome and glad they came to my home. Raised by parents who lived through the Great Depression, I've learned to be as economic as possible.
I love just being at home; doing my thing around the house – inside and outside.
The greatest joy in my life is being a mom and grandma.
I am blessed with wonderful friends. I often create a special little treat to give a friend when we get together (see picture to the left - Apples with some candy in a treat bag tired with a pretty bow).
I love to cook and bake. When baking I pretty much stick to the recipe. When cooking, I can’t seem to resist leaving out an ingredient or adding an ingredient or two to make the recipe my own creation.
I love to sew and do most needlecrafts.
Quilts are my passion. I never slept under anything except a handmade quilt made by my mom, my grandma or one of my aunts until I got married and got a “store bought” blanket for a wedding gift.
I’m organized – almost to a fault. I love to organize and re-organize and find more efficient ways to save time and space.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a clean and organized house. I actually don’t mind cleaning, however, working makes it necessary to get a bit of help at times.
I love being outside; especially tending to my flower gardens. I really don’t mind shoveling snow in the winter.
